Ignite

Everything moves at once,
flame and frost colliding,
a wildfire tearing across ice
without melting it.
Heat rises in ribbons,
cold bites back,
and somehow,
they both belong.
This is not chaos,
but transformation
in its wildest form.

There’s anger here,
but it burns clean,
not for vengeance,
but for protection.
A defense of what’s tender,
what’s worth the fight.
It’s the kind of fire
that doesn’t consume,
but clears the way.
Dangerous,
yes,
but only because it matters.

Framing is handmade from 100% ash wood, sourced locally from Zebulon, North Carolina. All lumber was cut and milled by the artist's father. The frame is 5/8 inches wide on all sides of the painting, creating a beautiful border with lovely gray tones in the wood grain.
