The American Dream prizes “the hustle.” We praise people who spend every waking moment being effective, productive, and inventive to achieve success. My art explores the interplay between work and rest and invites the audience to find a balance. To cultivate a habit of deep reflection and appreciation for the present moment and reject the constant restlessness associated with our culture.
