This painting isn't an anti-nicotine PSA. It's a reflection of the nasty habits we let creep into our lives. The behaviors and beliefs we say are not a big deal, but deep down actually scare us a little.

What does the man do after this moment? Does he make a life change? Or does he ignore this fleeting feeling of regret, and keep strolling down the dark street?

I don't think that's my business. But we can wonder...
