The sky hums in dusty blue,
the sun caught between coming and going.
Darkness lingers, vast and unknown -
but even that is ours for the taking.
But here, before us, light unfurls its claim.
Flowers burn bright, petals loose with laughter,
dancing in the breath of a world too wild to tame.
Peach and sienna spill across the land
like firelight caught in the wind,
a silent promise - this is yours.
And so we stand at the edge of knowing,
feet pressed into soil neither warm nor cold,
eyes fixed on a horizon that does not choose
between dusk and dawn.
What lies beyond - who can say?
But everything the light touches,
it calls our name.
